Last Sunday (January 31, 2010), The "Rated R Superstar" Edge made a shocking return following several months on the bench, and won the 2010 Royal Rumble match after coming in at #29. What made the victory that much sweeter for Edge was the fact that he got to eliminate his former tag-team partner Chris Jericho (who had dubbed Edge the "weak link" and quickly replaced him with The Big Show) from the match.
Edge will now go on to WrestleMania 26 to face a World Champion of his choosing.
Elsewhere on the show, only one championship changed hands; the WWE Women's Championship was won by Mickie James after she defeated Michelle McCool in a "blink and you miss it" match (McCool's pre match insults and her post-match humilation at the hands of Mickie actually took longer!).
