SmashWrestling Interview

Interview with ECW's Roadkill
by Angelo (a.k.a Groovico)
of EWN & SmashWrestling.com 1/01

ECW's Angry Amish Chicken Plucker Roadkill, the man who says nothing but the word "Chickenz" on air takes a time out to talk to smashwrestling.com!

Here at Smashwrestling.com we recently had the chance to interview none other than the ECW's Angry Amishman Roadkill!.

Angelo: Hi Roadkill, thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us. Let's begin with how did you start out in wrestling?

Roadkill: I was trained at ECW's House of Hardcore.

A: How long have you been wrestling for and who trained you?

Roadkill: I have been wrestling for four years now, my first match was in October 1996. Taz and Perry Saturn were my teachers.

A: You're extrememly agile for a wrestler of your size, is that something that comes naturally or was it something you had to work on?

Roadkill: It comes naturally.

A: Let's talk a bit about your Amish angle, is it true Al Snow is responsible for it, and if it is, what inspired him?

Roadkill: I guess that my appearance inspired him.

A: Would you take the gimmick with you if went to the WWF or WCW? How far do you see the Amishman gimmick going?

Roadkill: That is for either the WWF of WCW to decide.

A: I have to ask this.... why "Chickens"?

Roadkill: You will have to ask Paul E. about that, it was his idea.

A: In your expert Amish opinion which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Roadkill: CHICKENZ!!!!!FFFFFFF!!!!!!!!

A: Does it frustrate you being limited to a one word vocabulary, and having to rely on Danny Doring to cut the promos for the team?

Roadkill: To a certain extent. I would love to become a more verbal character.

A: Do you keep in character when you meet the fans? Do they expect you to?

Roadkill: When people meet me, I am myself. I make jokes about the character, usually to a positive response.

A: We've recently been shocked by the leg break of Sid Vicious at WCW sin, a reminder of the risk involved in wrestling, as a wrestler what goes through your mind when you see something like that?

Roadkill: Shock. It was unbelievable. The look on his face said it all. Such a simple movement, with such a tragic ending. I wish Sid the best for a speedy recovery.

A: ECW demands more from it's wrestlers than any other fed, how do you prepare yourself mentally for the night ahead?

Roadkill: I really don't. I enjoy performing for people, and any time that I get the opportunity to, I am ready.

A: Where else have you wrestled apart from ECW?

Roadkill: I have wrestled for a few independents. Maryland Championship Wrestling in Maryland, Yankee Pro Wrestling in Massachusetts. I am interested in working for other independent wrestling companies in the future.

A: How did you wind up in Terry Funk's Wrestlefest?

Roadkill: Paul E. thought that I was ready for it. Why was I chosen to go? I have no idea. But it was a great experience.

A: The FBI cut your beard off recently... is this the beginning of the end for the Angry Amish Warrior? Does it signal a change of direction for your character, much like Kane's sudden lessons in talking?

Roadkill: You guys are looking further into this than you need to. The beard is growing back at a rapid rate.

A: Who comes up with the names of your double team-moves? They're among the most unique I've heard...

Roadkill: Danny and I come up with them. "Buggy Bang" is the collaboration of Amish (Buggy-as in horse and), and Dastardly (Bang-as in Danny brags that he does a lot of). The credit for "Lancaster Lariat of Lust" goes to ECW commentator Joey Styles, along with the credit for the names of several other single's moves.

A: ECW fans are named the best in the world by Tommy Dreamer, do you agree with that and how are they different from the WWF or WCW fans?

Roadkill: I don't know the difference between ECW fans and the fans of the WWF and WCW because I have never wrestled in front of their fans. But as far as ECW fans go, I love performing in front of them. They treat me well.

A: Any closing words/word for your fans?

Roadkill: CHICKENZ!!!!!!!FFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!

A: From all our readers and everyone at smashwrestling.com a big thank you for your time Roadkill and we look forward to seeing more from you on our screens!
