As they say, life imitates art, and much in the same way that WCW led to it’s own demise by producing a poor product. Backstage Assault is not all it could amd should be. Yes of course we want it to be better, but it just doesn’t live up to the idea. The wrestler graphics look tacky and the game play seems a little botchy.
The backstage areas are also limited, which seems silly when that’s meant to be the idea of the game. Other points which weaken are also it’s lack of modes as there is no pay per view mode, no tag team mode… and well nothing really. In total there is about six different backstage environments with two or three linking rooms each, but it really isn't enough when the whole game devotes itself to backstage violence. Yes the game can boast having lots of weapons to hit each other with, but it just lacks enough depth to really keep you going.
Reason for playing it... you got it as a gift or like me you bought it for under ten bucks.
